Make an Empact

As you may know, Empact is dedicated to celebrating the impact of entrepreneurs and exposing individuals to entrepreneurship as a viable career path and, just as importantly, as a style of leadership needed to be successful in today’s economy. You may have heard of our Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour or Empact Connect programs (where we've held over 500 events across the country, bringing leaders & innovators to share their inspiring stories) or the Empact Showcase where we honor successful young entrepreneurs at the White House and United Nations.

What our programs do especially well is infuse serious energy into the people who experience them. We have a great track record of getting attention for the programs and resources on campus -- both among stakeholders like partners & funders and in getting more students and community members to take advantage of the resources you make available to them.

WANTED: Committee Volunteers

Have you been itching to get involved with the Michigan Business Incubator Association?  If so, here is your chance!  The Membership Committee, chaired by MBIA vice-president Sandra Cochrane, is seeking 2-3 general members to round out the board of directors representation.  If you’d like a say in how membership matters are managed, this is your chance to get involved.  The committee meets once a month for an hour by telephone, so the time commitment is not too great.  If you are interested in serving a one-year term on the committee, please let Sandra know by emailing her at cochrans@gvsu.edu.
